Before you google for a long time, we will show you here what you can experience in Winter in Flachau. Number one is of course skiing & snowboarding on the World Cup slopes and in the Absolut Park, the largest snowpark in Austria. But our selection of activities in winter in Flachau has much more to offer - from family experiences to friends' adventures to relaxing retreats.

Skiing in the Flachau Ski Area

The Flachau ski area is part of the Snow Space Salzburg, which in turn belongs to Ski amadé. An overview of the Snow Space Salzburg:

Absolute Park Flachau

The place to be for freestylers and freeskier! Absolut is THE snowpark in Austria and one of the leading ones in Europe. It has seven areas, spans over 1.5 km, and includes over 100 obstacles – making it extremely versatile and catering to every skill level. A dedicated 6-person lift, the Absolut Shuttle, takes you back up for your next run right after your tricks.

Après-Ski Flachau

Yes, let's be honest, Flachau stands for finest skiing and good partying! The Resl guests love the Hofstadl at the valley station of the Starjet 1. From there, it is only 250 meters back to the hotel. Convenient, right? ;)

Cross-Country Skiing

For cross-country skiing, we recommend the trail from Flachau to the valley end in Flachauwinkl. It is approximately 16 km long in one direction with a height difference of 160 meters. Or is anyone brave enough to try the Tauernloipe? It covers about 63 km and 470 meters of elevation. And here is your round tour: Flachau – Wagrain – Reitdorf – Eben – Altenmarkt – Radstadt – Untertauern – Radstadt – Altenmarkt – Flachau.

The Flachau sports shops and ski schools always keep an eye on the latest trends. Salt Worlds Hallein-Bad Dürrnberg

When the thighs need to take a break, discover the ancient salt mines in Hallein-Bad Dürnberg! Here, salt has been mined for over 2,600 years and you walk in the footsteps of the white gold and the miners. For example, you ride in a mine train and cross a salt lake on a raft.
