What would your winter and summer holidays in the mountains be without it? Exactly: nothing. Nada. Niente. Therefore, we do our best and invite you to join us!

Less is more
for our nature
We have made a change. Moving away from daily room cleaning to a service when you desire it. We have polished shining surfaces to an even greater shine while wasting cleaning products and water! That stops now. If you desire a cleaning and fresh towels, simply hang the sign on the door and we will take care of it. Claro!
Electricity from Renewable Energy
All electricity in Resl comes from renewable energy sources. We produce up to one third with our photovoltaic system ourselves, and the rest is supplied by Salzburg AG.
Heating and Hot Water
No oil from any Gulf state, but biomass from Flachau warms our rooms and the water. Just 650 meters – not thousands of kilometers – travels the heat, isn't that fantastic? The delivered warm water also flows directly into the washing machines, so they need to heat up less.
Water
Our drinking water springs from the Marbach sources at the valley end of Flachau. We draw utility water, for example for watering flowers or for the outdoor pool, from the groundwater source located 34 meters underground on our property.
Mobility
With the Resl, you choose accommodation in Flachau that is particularly conveniently located and allows you a car-free holiday. The valley station of the mountain lift is only 250 m away on foot. In front of the Ennshof is one bus stop, and towards the village center is the next one – and this is important for you to know, because with the lodging tax you automatically receive the mobility ticket, which allows you to travel with public transport across the entire Salzburg region!

No minibars/refrigerators in the rooms
We consciously forgo minibars/refrigerators in the rooms. The devices are huge energy guzzlers and need to be replaced every few years. Just calculate how much refrigerant and technology has to be disposed of regularly for a hotel of our size! No, we encourage you to quench your thirst at the bar – and to engage in conversation with nice people.
Used cooking oil / cooking fat
Our used cooking oil is converted by Münzer Bioindustrie GmbH into biodiesel. Just from one kilogram of used cooking fat, one kilogram of biodiesel is produced! Münzer produces over 200,000 tons of biodiesel – we are amazed!
Buildings and Rooms
- All buildings are thermally refurbished
- Our rooms and suites are equipped with local spruce and oak woods, energy-efficient LED lighting, as well as triple-glazed windows
- Shampoo, soap etc. are available in large, packaging-saving dispensers
- Showers and toilet flushes operate in a water-saving manner
- Motion sensors control the light in the corridors
- We mainly clean our rooms and houses with environmentally friendly dry steam appliances and largely without chemicals.
- We only clean guest rooms when you request it – and not automatically daily. This way, we save cleaning agents and water
Craftsman
All our craftsmen and craftswomen come from the Flachau region. Short distances, shared value creation!

We source our food from regional, family-run suppliers:

- We separate waste ourselves and ensure it is recycled
- We completely avoid single-use plastic straws, water and beverage bottles made from single-use plastic, single-use plastic cutlery and dishes
- ... and certainly several other things that we are currently not thinking of ;)
